The Perils of Passivity

Passivity can bring one's soul into bondage!
 
Passivity is a foe to all believers in Christ – it can even hinder our intimacy with Jesus. Without an aggressive stance against the enemy, we can easily fall into inactivity, and our service to the Lord can be limited. We lose our spiritual sharpness, which as Paul says, is necessary for us to be “sober, alert and diligent.” Deliverance is for the purpose of activating the purposes and plans of God in your life. God said to Pharaoh, “Let my people go that they may serve Me.”
 
We have observed the ways in which passivity works through our years in deliverance ministry. Passivity is a foe - it will even block deliverance. God has called us to war, and we must be vigilant, for we are not ignorant of Satan’s devices. If we lack a definite plan of aggression, we have become passive to some degree.
