God intends prayer to be a two-way communication, and a form of fellowship between man and His Creator. Praying involves speaking, and listening, from the heart.
 
In this 9 part teaching series, Bill Banks explains how God desires to answer prayer. God has always intended for honest and sincere prayer to be answered in the affirmative - that is His will. His will is to bring Heaven down to Earth, according to the Lord's Prayer. 
 
He remains the Giver of good gifts, as He was in Scripture. The Adversary however hates seeing prayers answered because it testifies of the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven. It breaks the lie that God is distant, removed from humanity, and not the loving Father as described in the Bible. There is opposition to righteous prayers, which is why we are told "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." We must press in to receive His promises.
